Hi ,

Can some one tell me how to find the number of users currently logged
in under jBASE.

I just want to know the total number of users using the license .

Earlier versions of jBASE has a jLicServer running so it was easy , but
with the current version

jBASE 4157 , we are not running that process.

OS - 5.2
jBASE . 4.15.7

Regards

Hi, to count the number user login jBase, from jBase prompt use command
"who -q" or count the file F.OS.TOKEN or F.OS.TOKEN.USE

hope it may helpful.

I am amazed at the varied and complex responses to such a simple
question - some of which are very Temenos specific (and even release
specific to T24)
What is wrong with LISTU which has always been the method of counting
users in jBase, forefathers and siblings.
F.OS.TOKEN and F.OS.TOKEN.USE should not be anything'd because they are
internal to T24 and are not for use outside T24

I think that the original question was from Emery who asked how to find how many "ACTIVE" users were on the system. I am pretty sure he knows the LISTU command by now ;-). Then someone else picked it up as T24 type question.

Hence my question in reply to the original question as to whether the question was regarding users whose processes were ready to be activated by the UNIX kernel, or just logged and sitting twiddling their thumbs, which is what most of the staff at my bank seem to do, when they are not looking at their plans for their new office in their spanking new office building built with my bank charges.

I am not sure who the original poster was, or what they really needed to
know.

I have a tool that tells me exactly what I want to know, including some
Deschutes County extensions due to inter-governmental agreements with
other agencies.

I am not sure if some body else also has posted the same question . Ok
my question is simple. Is there a way to know the number of jBASE
license used at any point of time , on jBASE 4.1.5.7 .

I agree LISTU shows some details ,but that is not what i am looking for
.

Thanks
RC
