Hi All,

System info:

RO8 64 bit
jbase5
Windows Server 2008

I have installed browser and have no problems using it. But when I do
a cash deposit or withdrawal it gives me the error message Error
sending T24 request:
When I remove the deal slip from the version, it works fine.

Secondly I get the same error message "Error sending T24 request:"
when I try to open an application created using template programming.
The application works fine from classic. Any help would be
appreciated.

Thanks,
Ankit.

There could be some routines failed attached in the deal slip. Also, Did you created Browser Preferences for the user?

Yes, I have created Browser Preferences and I have removed all the routines attached to the deal slip. I have also set D.SLIP.STYLE.SHEET field on the version. I am printing locally so I don't need to set up spooler but I have done that as well.

Hi,

Is there any routine attached to the dealslip.?.   If your template is also not working then the problem could be with JBCOBJECTLIST variable in the ENVIRONMENT.VARS   file in TCServer . Ensure that JBCOBJECTLIST contains the path to the lib where your local routines are cataloged .

Regards,
Rashid

Hi Rashid,

Setting ENVIRONMENT.VARS in TCServer solved my template program problem, I am still working on the deal slip problem. Once I solve the deal slip problem, I'll post the solution as well.

Thank You,
Ankit Patel.

Hi,
use spy port of TCServer to see what's actually happening.

Hi VK,

Can you please let me know how to use the spy port.

Thanks,
Ankit.

1) check your spy port number in TCServer.xml, e.g.:

<SPY_PORT> 9503 </SPY_PORT>

2) on your PC (assuming it's windoze):

start -> run -> cmd

in command window type:
telnet localhost 9503

(same number as in TCServer.xml)

3) Proceed with your scenario in Browser. Post here the output that
you see in telnet window. Or maybe you'll see the cause of problem at
once.

Hi,
then:

1) check where your jbase spooler is located:

in your remote.cmd there should be something like:

set JBCSPOOLERDIR=%HOME%\jspooler

2) check if that directory exists (if not - create it) and type from
jsh prompt:

SP-NEWTAB

then type C <enter>

you should do it only once to make things work

Hi,

is environment var JBCSPOOLERDIR set in environment.vars? Does it
point to the same place as in remote.cmd?

Also pls send the output from SP-NEWTAB followed by C (you can do it
another time with no harm)

Hi VK,

environment var JBCSPOOLERDIR is same in both the files. Below is the output of SP-NEWTAB.

jsh bnk ~ -->SP-NEWTAB
This operation deletes ALL print jobs and print queues, and
re-creates a new spooler with the following criteria:

1)  Spooler directory               = C:\jbase5\5.0\jspooler
2)  Default security of form queues = CREATOR
3)  Default security of print jobs  = CREATOR
4)  Other owners of spooler         =
Enter options 1) to 4) to modify, C to continue or Q to quit : C
[ 417 ] File C:\jbase5\5.0\jspooler\jobs]D created , type = UD
[ 417 ] File C:\jbase5\5.0\jspooler\jobs created , type = UD
[ 417 ] File C:\jbase5\5.0\jspooler\jspool_log]D created , type = J4
[ 417 ] File C:\jbase5\5.0\jspooler\jspool_log created , type = J4
Spooler RESTART completed

Ankit.

Hi,
maybe there are problems with access rights? Which user is used to
start TCserver ? Does it have enough access rights to spooler?

You can try to go to Classic (terminal mode) and from AWAITING
APPLICATION prompt type SPF P SYSTEM, then go back to AWAITING
APPLICATION prompt. If you don't see any error at that point then
spooling is ok; try this also from user that is used to start
TCServer.

Hi

The JBCSPOOLERDIR in environment.vars may be directing to %HOME%\jspooler where as in the remote.cmd it is pointing to %JBCREALEASEDIR%\jspooler.

Hi Madhu,

Thank you for replying, but I think if we don't have a TELLER.ID record for the user we cannot do a teller transaction at all.
Are you talking about the user used in the OFS.SOURCE used to log into browser?

Thanks,
Ankit.

Hi All,

Tnx for the help. I was finally able to solve this problem. I have to use ENVIRONMENT.VAR file sent by temenos. I am attaching this file.

Regards,
Ankit.
