Hi,
we are using the docToolChain and JBake for generating our documentation including a lot of diagrams (diagrams.net). These diagrams are also changing, but we run into the issue that the browser is caching the images and not updating them. This leads to the risk that we are working on out-dated documentation.

Is there a way to tell "no-caching" or so on images?

Thanks in advance,
Michael

hm. that is a good question. I never encountered this problem yet. Where  do you deploy your generated site?

It is deployed on an IIS.

I was thinking about a post-process step and renaming all images (by adding the current timestamp or so) as a workaround if there is nothing out of the box.

Is it possible that diagrams.net has its own CDN - with caching/etags on the diagrams?  As long as the URLs don't change, the client browser likely won't fetch updated images.
