Example hierarchical HTML Sitemap template

Hi,
we at Apache Sling use JBake for our website which works great in general. The only thing which deserves a bit more love is the sitemap at https://sling.apache.org/sitemap.html which is based on https://github.com/jbake-org/jbake-example-project-groovy-mte/blob/master/templates/sitemap.tpl at the moment.

Is there somewhere an example of a template for a HTML sitemap which renders the pages hierarchically (considering the folder structure)? Given that the data model for pages (https://jbake.org/docs/2.5.1/#page_post_custom) is quite limited it seems hard to traverse all pages in the right order....
