If you have no plans for this Sunday night...now you do! And I'm not interested in hearing any lame excuses. Desperate Housewives is not acceptable!

I was recently introduced to the musical stylings of Fly Phoenix, a group of young Columbia College students/graduates with such a unique sound. They'll be performing at The Shrine this Sunday, and they are definitely worth a listen. Check 'em out here.

With a beautiful blend of funk, soul and rock, these guys are definitely making a name for themselves. And this is an act you gotta see live to fully understand and appreciate.

And if you've never been to The Shrine, you're in for a treat! It's one of Chicago's up-and-coming musical venues, and that stage looks like it's ready for some damage!
