After being asked every year by Marc Feeley to present a paper on JazzScheme and declining each time, when Marc hosted the workshop in Montreal in 2010 I finally accepted. For the presentation, Louis-Julien Guillemette and me wanted to introduce JazzScheme by writing about its history that goes back to almost 30 years. But we also knew readers would want to see some code! So, in the end we decided to write a history but with a strong emphasis on the port of the old C++-based Jazz to Gambit, highlighting some of the challenges we faced.
The title of the presentation is "JazzScheme: Evolution of a Lisp-Based Development System".
