OK, guys. Updates.

I'm maintaining, but boy do I have to watch what I eat!

I teach 3 to 4 classes a week. Walk a bit on the treadmill, but just
can't get myself on the @$&!@$& bike (which is great for my knees).
PLUS I have to get back to my core exercises.

GET ON THE BIKE. Get your best music and pedal.

That is all.

Gained 1.8 lbs last week but lost 2.8 lbs this week. Truthfully I
think the gain was just due to water retention after two days of salty
meals. But the downward trend continues. I'm still not back to my
pre-Christmas weight (Yes I gained that much over the holidays). But
I am close. Hanging tough and still trying to eat right and work out
more. This will be a low workout week tho', since the half marathon
in Virginia Beach is this Sunday.

Ok ladies... status please... tap, tap, tap

Just wanted to report...apparently, something kicked in, maybe dst??,
and the scale started showing the fruits of my labor over the past 2
1/2 months....wish i knew what it was, so I could tap into it when I
waver...but so far for the year, I am down 7 lbs...woo hop!! That is
a big deal for me as for the last year, I think, I've been losing 2,
gaining 3 etc, it was very frustrating, but I think the little tweaks
here & there really have helped...as well as you guys being so
supportive, so thank you guys very very much!! good luck w/ ur half
marathon Christine, we can't wait to hear about it! Off to continue
my day!!

WTG E! That's good news.

I'm not losing anything, farm it! And now that I'm injured -- I
haven't felt like exerting myself at all. The very thought of
breaking a sweat makes me tired.

Glad y'all are doing great. My time will come.

And keep up the good work!

grumble...buncha losers...grumble (c;

I can totally relate Deborah, sometimes, just maintaining is the
biggest gift you can give yourself when you want to throw in the towel
you know? I hope that you heal quickly and get back to your active
self in no time...hey...how'd ur pup do in the dog show??? Love to
hear about it!!

The 1/2 marathon went very well. The weather was perfect and the
course was a pancake. I'm a walker, not a runner, and eked out a
2:59. Woo hop! I met up with a math teacher from VA at mile 4 and we
spurred each other on. This was her 2nd half marathon and she really
wanted to break 3 hours. I wasn't particularly well prepared for this
race (it's my 14th) and didn't think I was going to break 3 hrs. But
when she told me her goal I thought I'd see if I could hang with her.
Overall I finished 37th out of a field of 289 (men and women), 30th
out of 243 (women only), and 9th out of 36th (sex/age group). So I am
very happy with this effort.

E: Oliver did great at the show. I DQ'd him in Novice Obedience by
touching him to correct him -- the judge was going to allow a 2nd
command only. Sigh. Without that rookie handler error, and 3 pts.
she would have taken off for the 2nd command, he'd have scored 188,
high enough for 1st place. D*mn!

In Rally Novice we scored 75 of 100 pts., high enough to qualify, so
he now has a leg toward his Rally Title. I need 2 more.

Overall he was excellent, doing what we've practiced for months. I
was so proud of him.

Next shows w/obedience and rally are in Sacramento over Easter
weekend; 1 Sat. and 1 Sun. I'm entering both days, and I think TH
will enter Beau. That's going to be an interesting weekend!

Well done, StLC! Congrats on placing Top Ten in your sex/age group!

Think how you'll do when you're *really* prepared!

Stepped on scale this am and it read '240 lbs.'. Almost had a heart
attack. When I calmed down I saw that the scale wasn't calibrated!
