I was a class manager for 12 years and recently resigned due to other
commitments. I now pay a regular student fee and come to class at
least three times a week on various days. But I still do
administrative work for my class owner such as postcards, filing,
student retention, and phone calls regarding schedule changes, etc.
for which she pays me a modest fee. Last night, she generously gave
the class managers the new summer promotion tote bag and then turned
to me and said that I would have to earn mine like all the other
students because I was no longer a member of her team. Am I being
overly sensitive? Doesn't doing the administrative work for her still
consider me a part of her team? I do the postcards on a weekly basis,
get the stamps myself at the post office and mail them.

Certainly understand that you may feel slighted.  I recommend that you tell her how your feel about.  However, if she is paying you for the admin help, you might suggest that instead of this modest fee, you would rather feel a part of the team and receive the same perks as they do. I
