I am having a tough time sticking with WW right now. I've done ok
since January--losing about 1 pound a week. But I'm finding myself
eating more junk. It's easy to rationalize a chocolate here, a few
chips there.

Also, it's been really helpful to drink Snapple diet peach tea--the
stores aren't stocking it right now. I've contacted Snapple and they
said to ask the stores about the supply. I went to W-M, Albertsons,
Smiths/Krogers, Harmen's, and Shopko--nothing. It looks like the
distributor just isn't carrying it. I picked up some Crystal Light to
see if it is ok.

I guess I'm just going through a whiney phase. Although the weekend
was rewarding through yard work. Yesterday finally turned warm so we
could burn lots of stuff. Our property has (easily) 50 years of over-
growth on it. We still haven't been able to walk on 1/2 of it because
of the brush and fallen trees. Of course, while I'm watching the fire
I'm thinking "you know, the marshmallows would really taste good over
the fire!" ha! Thanks for listening.

I think that when you are suffering from lack of motivation, it's best
to go back to the basics. At least it is for me. When I find I'm
eating too much junk food, I start writing down everything I eat. I
measure and then take careful note of it. I also read that if you are
prone to over-eating individually wrapped treats, don't throw the
wrappers out. Leave them on the counter so you can have a visual of
just how many of them you've eaten.

Good luck! I think you'll do just fine; at least you realize you are
slipping back into bad habits.

I love that wrapper tip! For me, that will help a lot. I excellent
at rationalizing away "just one".

Karen: what a good tip with the wrapper. I'll have to pass it on.

Motivation comes in bursts for me...right now, I'm riding a wave, and
I plan to take it all the way to May if I can.....I have no idea what
finally "clicked" but for me, even though I have been eating healthy
since January, my portion control has been way out of control....even
my salads have been huge....so, I've been ever more vigilant about my
portions...and my weight, thank goodness has finally come back into
line. This week has been a little tough for me, as my "friend" is
coming, but I am concentrating on ice water, and really making an
effort of thinking twice before snacking, trying to make good, portion
controlled choices....great tip Karen on those wrappers!! And Deb,
you'll get through this and be the more stronger for it, concentrating
on maintaining during your injury, and as soon as ur up to snuff, the
rest will melt away.

I'm just having a hard time finishing up my class work for the
semester (I'm really hating statistics about now) and my new job is
not as fun as I hoped it would be. (that will get better too). But I
didn't do as badly as I thought I would--Tuesday is weigh day. I'm
down again. I have been using the extra 35 points that WW gives you
per week, I think that is what I'm not sure about. It looks like even
if I use the extra points (over the daily points) I'll still lose a
little. I didn't do that before. I'm hoping that losing the weight
so slowly the reduced snack habit will stay with me when I reach my
goal this time. The problem with snacking healthy is keeping the
veggies fresh.
