I rode my bike on the road Fri., Sat. & Sun. My wrist is aching
tonight because today was hill training; the downhill portion put more
stress on my wrist than it is used to. Overall it's okay, although my
surgeon hasn't okayed it. He knows nothing of what I've done and what
I need to feel whole.

I'm also down 1.7lbs. from last week. I'm very happy about that. My
hard work is paying off, finally. I have 8 lbs. to go to reach my
goal.

It's not easy, but it's doable. Much depends on your state of mind.
If you have the "can do" mindset then it'll fall into place. If you
carry the defeatist mindset, then you will fail. After 4 years on WW
and numerous ups and downs, this is what I got, after analyzing the
data.

Good luck to you all. How are we doing?

Deborah,
You are right about the state of mind--mine is not in the right place
right now but I will get there. I wait until Tuesday to weigh--I
should ok this week. I spent the weekend planting flowers and working
on my yard project (clearing to plant grass). There is so much junk
and broken glass everywhere from the renters from before we bought the
place. We've been told it was quite the party house--which was
confirmed when we tore the roof off during the rebuild and found their
w**d growing equipment in the attic.

I'm glad to hear you are training, but take it easy with your wrist--
it has to last you a long time yet. My husband fell while building
our house 3-4 years ago (crushed the wrist bone) and now his wrist is
fused. He doesn't complain but I know it bothers him.

Glenn how are things with you this week?

I'm afraid I was not so good this week. My wife and daughter went to a Goddess photo shoot and my son was still at Camp Shakespeare - that meant that I was on my own as far as food choices and entertainment choices go.

So bottom line, I saw Breakfast at Tiffany's and the Way We Were at our Downtown theatre and consumed two bags of popcorn, a box of whoppers and a box of junior mints. (You can't watch classic tear-jerkers like that on ah empty stomach)

I think I ended up gaining a pound on Saturday and a half pound yesterday when we were served pizza at Camp Shakespeare at dinner prior to watching the preview scenes.

The kids did a good job and I got to buy some used books at the Round Top Library.

I'm so impressed with Deborah's commitment - on the exercise level I opted for fun. (Jazzercise and Zumba)

I hope one and all have a great week.

Thanks, Glenn. I have a laser-like focus and although easily
distracted at times. However, age has given me wisdom enough to look
at the big picture. In other words, after I have a cookie binge
(Pepperidge Farm Milano) I get right back on the program. I map my
indulgences and move on, not dwelling on the excesses.

Anyway, when you find the right motivation, and the structure to
support your efforts (my motivation is to be in race shape, my
structure is WW online services) you'll have amazing success. The key
is understanding your motivation.

Here's to a better week for you two.

Yeah! I lost 0.5 this week. Better than expected. I love the
Pepperidge Farm Milano cookies. I don't buy them, but just like
doughnuts--it they are hanging around, I'll eat them. I also love
Breakfast at Tiffany's although it doesn't make me cry. My sixteen-
year old son wants me to watch movies with him. I really try but my
attention span is pretty poor for Transformers and The 40-year-old
v*rg*n. He discovered I like Iron Man, so I've seen it a dozen times,
so at least there is something we can share. I'm glad he wants me to
hang out with him as he will soon be gone to college. (We're still
working on his driver's license!)

Last night I saw Philadelphia Story with my ten (soon to be eleven) year old daughter. It really is fun sharing movie events with your children.

I'm happy to report that I'm still on a down trend and plan to ride it
for as long as I can, hopefully till I can be on a maintain trend!!
I'm down 21 lbs for the year and I have to wholeheartedly agree with
TD's comments....I find that indulging is a necessity and the key is
not to beat yourself up, but to get back on the horse ASAP....I heard
this analogy..and it totally makes sense....If you think of dieting as
banking...say w/ points the WW way...if you make too many w/drawals at
once....you just have to "deposit" more points in over the next few
days..that totally keeps me in check...especially in margarita
season!!!

Way to go to all of us....and lets keep up the good work!
