Hope to Be Owner

My owner is moving out of state and has the business up for sale. I
made her an offer which I think was fair and was the most I could do
financially, and she has put the classes out to district owners to see
if she can get a better offer. I don't blame her intellectually, but
emotionally I have to admit to myself that I feel hurt. I think I
have been a great sub for her. In the 3 years I have worked for her,
I've handled all the advertising, even paid for a couple ads, have
done all the postcarding for one of the two locations, paying for the
postage myself. I was getting very excited about the opportunity to
become an owner myself and maybe it will still happen. I just wish I
didn't have this sad feeling inside about the whole thing now. Oh
well, what will be will be as my Mom always said.

I hope it works out for you. If it were me, I'd have let the sub get
the classes, even if that meant I didn't get the price I felt I
deserved. Students are already familiar with you and that's a big
plus.
