I'm in a guitar class at school, and the teacher's given us some pretty cool jazz stuff to work on, but they're all slow stuff! Can anybody please recommend some cool, relatively easy fast songs? Preferably with link to chords/music/tab, but that's not a big deal. Thanks

By "fast" do you mean a quick, upbeat tempo, or do you mean you want
to hear jazz guitar players who can play pretty fast licks?

You could look into All Of Me, or Sweet Georgia Brown. Most jazz
tunes can simply be sped up also. `Don't have links to changes but
they should abound on the internet.

Blues Changes.

There have been some good suggestions; I ditto blues &
rhythm changes, and also suggest vamp tunes like Eddie
Harris' "Listen Here", which are medium-up, and have a nice
groove, along with easy changes.

Cheers,

What a great match! The lyricism of Catherine ala "linear" juxtaposed Lagrene's vertical slant .... very sweet!

Good Tune, poking around thru other versions I came across Birelli
Lagrene and Philip Catherine doing this with some great inter play
between them. La Grene's guitar is magnificent. The other on is
pretty nice too. Both Gibsons. This is the best sounding clip I had
the patience to look for. I must put the tune on my to learn list.
Anyone know if that's a suprer 400 Birelli is playing. From the first
note there is some thing special about his sound. I thought it was a
7 string at first. Maybe he plays it down a whole step. Sweet stuff.
This is the kind of interactive listening between the two that is
what makes jazz what it is. This is the fattest tone I've ever heard
without being woofey.
