Hello,

I've been listening to this great song over and over trying to learn it but
I'm having trouble with some parts. Does anyone know if there is any sheet
music for this song? or even tabs? I've found countless versions for the
Ventures version of this song, however that's *not* the version I would
like to learn. If anyone could help, I would really appreciate it. :)

Thanks,
Jon S.

Yes, I have the book you speak of ... it's by Steve Silverman and Jack Wilkins ... with a transcription of Johnny's "Walk Don't Run" plus other pieces (solos):

There is a lead sheet for "Walk Don't Run" in the Hal Leonard Real Jazz Book (not to be confused with the volumes of the sixth edition of the Real Book published by Hal Leonard which don't have this tune, of course).

Actually, I have a couple of my own questions about this song. According to the wikipedia page (and other sources, I think) on "Walk Don't Run" it is based around the chord changes for "Softly, As in the Morning Sunrise". Allowing for the different key, the Real Jazz Book chord changes have some similarities but are not really the same as the chord changes I have for "Softly, As in the Morning Sunrise" (referring to the Real Book for this). So presumably there is some chord substitution and the wiki page is right or is the wiki page just plain wrong?

Also, the Ventures based their version on Chet Atkins version rather than the original Johnny Smith version, I think. Does anybody know if a transcription of the Chet Atkins version has been published?
