Here's a list of recommended books by Howard Roberts in the back of his "20 Weeks ..." book (some of these are out of print, and some I've found on-line from $120 to $300):

- Howard Roberts Guitar Manual Sight Reading

- Super Chops by Howard Roberts

- Super Solos by Howard Roberts with Ron Eschete

- Jimmy Wyble's Classical Jazz

- Quadraphonic Fingering by Mitch Holder

- Creative Scale Dimensions by Tim May

- Instant Blues edited by Howard Roberts and Jack Marshall

- Isometrics For Guitarists by Milt Raskin

- Isometrics For Pianists by Milt Raskin

- The Electric Bach by John S. Bach

Hi John,
The Howard Roberts books which I've seen are fair - nothing earth shattering
The Quadrophonic Fingering book I own, and haven't seen much value to
it. Maybe I should give it another look - we'll 'C'.
The other books I'm not familiar with. Perhaps they were written by
friends of his.

At any rate, whether good or not, there is no way anyone is going to get
through those books in any meaningful way in 20 weeks.

best,
Bobby

Bobby,

Some of these books are repetitive -- how many books and times we see the same material either explained or defined differently.
