Sorry if this is a duplicate, but I didn't see that anyone posted to this list that Larry Coryell died yesterday. He was 73, just performed a few days ago at the Iridium, and died in his hotel room in New York City. Here's an article from billboard about him.

Thanks for posting. I saw him live here in The Hague only last year (having last gone to a concert of his in the 80s).

Downbeat magazine Jan 2017 issue has a 2 page article / interview with Larry. He tells about his misfortunate experience with sinus surgery that went bad.  Sounds like he had  a brain hemorrhage and small stroke. He said it took him a year to recover his guitar playing skills. 

I was a big fan of his early work (1960's - 1970's),  saw 11th house several times. It's sad to watch the musical heroes of youth pass away.
