This is a tune I imagined called Staying Power for John Coltrane and Chris Potter. I December of 2003 I had the great privilege, once again, of having Chris over to make music and he graciously agreed to play (though it was in a style that had come and gone for him)sounds that he knew I loved.
This is the result. As is the case for most of the performances that I have received from Chris, this was the first take that he heard/played upon seeing my concert pitch chart. Chris can hear!
He can work a mic better than any one. Thanks Chris.
I play bass, guitar, piano, and drum machine.
Hope you enjoy as I do.
Jim

Ming's,

Nice work. As you know I love Chris Potter anyway but I particularly like hearing him on this.
