Dear JazzBuddies,

Creative Concerts (CC) and Jazz at ACES/ECA (JAE) will present a benefit performance with the Eric Alexander Quintet featuring the great Harold Mabern on piano. Mr. Alexander played at the Educational Center for the Arts (ECA) last year with his quartet in a performance that was widely acclaimed. In the year since, Eric Alexander's prestige has rocketed. In this year's Downbeat Magazine Jazz Poll, he placed 6th place in the tenor saxophone category. Mr. Alexander is a young and very promising musician. Boasting a warm, finely burnished tone and a robust melodic and harmonic imagination. He brings a seasoned veteran's proficiency and poise to his recording, "Nightlife in Tokyo".

Along with most frequent collaborator Mabern completing this all-star quintet are Steve Davis (trombone), Nat Reeves (bass) and Joe Farnsworth (drums).
