What are there so many maps the same ?
What does the yellow highlighting mean when you select a map and many others are highlighted yellow.

I have used the XDF tool to start the basic TunerPro definition creation.
Using a BDM of the same software version I was able to create a XDF file for use with my MPPS ECU read as the map offsets/addresses are the same.
However all Maps has to be converted to be 'Major' columns instead of rows to get the to display correctly. So this is a bug that could be fixed..I assume

Once again, many thanks as I now have a lot of info, but it would be nice to know why so many maps the same/similar.
I assume this is for Manual, Auto, DSG or for different ECT's.
Any extra info would be appreciated.

Thanks again......

There are sometimes multiple maps because the ECU might pick a different map depending on another variable such as coolant temperature or perhaps which mode the driver has selected (TC off, wet mode etc) or there might be redundant maps which are used for another engine configuration.

The yellow highlighting shows which maps use the same axes. This is helpful for identifying parallel maps as explained above.

I didn't really use the XDF export much, it could very well have a bug. The source code is available if you would like to correct it. I am not currently spending any time on this project.
