Hello Everyone,

Time for a new thread. Jays Journal is having a great first half of August and we are currently on track to best our July numbers which is great! I know Jays games are particularly rough to watch right now but there is still tons to write about!

Here are some topic/ideas if you need!

1. Looking at the free agents after this season and predicting the Jays offseason plans
2. Which team the Jays would be better off playing in the playoffs (assuming they make it)
3. The dissapointment of the slump when the Yankees are slumping as well and the Jays could have caught up
4. How the upcoming Yankees series could have major playoff implications 
5. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and his absurd launch angles and power
6. Julian Merryweather and his resurgence in AAA. Helpful for the Jays?
7. Looking at potential septmeber callups when the rosters expand (likely one pitcher and one position player)
8. PLayers to stay away from this offseason (Free agency) or to go after
9. Looking at the Jays farm system and where they stand in the MLB
10. Who should get the playing time in CF if Springer is unable to play defensively.

Was at the game last night. Was great until that Chapman GIDP. And there was one inning where I think Kremer only threw 8 pitches. Bo grounded out on the first pitch he saw, etc. Espy and Vlad seemed to be the only guys playing with any sense of urgency to win 🤷🏻‍♂️

Afternoon All,

Great month so far! We are about to surpass our views from last month with lots of time to go! We are also at 68 articles with a few coming down the pipeline, so let's get on our high horses and finish this month strong with 100!

Here are some ideas if you need:

1. Should the Blue Jays call up Gabriel Moreno come roster expansion time?

9. Whit Merrifield and his role/usage for the remainder of the season
10. Ross Stripling: Qualifying offer candidate, sign a multi-year deal, or let walk?
11. Rookie League ball is over (FCL and DOSL) if anybody wants to dive deep (Two separate articles though)
12. Kevin Gausman compared to Robbie Ray with the Mariners in 2022

  6. Reviewing John Schneiders tenure as manager so far and if he is worthy of an extension (or is it too early to tell)
  7. George Springer and his importance to the team
  8. Alek Manoah and his dominance against the Yankees over his career
  9. Important series to highlight this season

Hey All, 

Just thought I would send out some stats from the past week. 

Huge shoutout to Zachary Rotman, whose slideshow led all of the FanSided MLB sites last week in terms of individual view count! Great work Zachary!

Jays Journal itself had a phenomenal week as well, ranking second in the division for overall views with one of the highest pages/session. 

The FanSided MLB editor (Chris and I's boss) had this to say about all of your hard work:

"It seems like every time I look, something good is happening at Jays Journal. The site has multiple stories among the division's most-read for the week. If you go to the front page of the site, it's very clear that this is a great one-stop-shop that any fans of the Jays has to visit daily. And for that reason, they are one of the most consistently read sites."
