Hey gang, 

Just wanted to start a fresh thread here, and also send out the usual encouragement. There is a ton to talk about with the team these days, and Tyson has been a real beauty about throwing topic ideas out. That said, don't be afraid to pitch your own into the group as well.

Hope you are doing well today. Just thought I would throw some ideas in the chat if anybody is looking for something.

  1.  Blue Jays and their magic number to make the playoffs
  2. An overview of the remaining schedule and which games might have the most impact on Blue Jays playoffs
  3. Players the front office dodged a bullet on not trading for: Syndergaard, Montas, any other you can think of
  4. Key MVP players this season (3/5/7 in slideshow)
  5. Where does Alek Manoah stand in the Cy Young conversation? Could his remaining starts get him there?
  6. Predicting the playoff roster. Does kikuchi make it?
  7. Can the Blue Jays catch the Yankees in the AL East. If so, what do they need to do?
  8. Whit Merrifield and his role to finish the year 
  9. Nate Pearson: potential late year option?

Can I write about radio host Matthew Ross fat shaming Alejandro Kirk and his subsequent apology after deleting his Twitter account. 

Speaks to two things: 

1. how awesome a teammate Alek Manoah is as he immediately came to Kirky’s defense

2. How beloved Kirk is as a Blue Jay because of his talented and understated he is as an All-Star and a great teammate

You can, but I would take the approach of “Manoah sticking up for his teammate” sort of deal and mention Kirk’s stats this season. 

That incident happened days ago and the dude issued an apology through TSN as well, so we’re a little late to the story on this one and a majority of jays fans have likely seen it already.
