'Reservations in promotions not a fundamental right': SC says states not bound to provide quotas to SCs, STs in jobs

सुप्रीम कोर्ट की हालिया टिप्पणी के बाद एक बार फिर पदोन्नति में आरक्षण को लेकर विवाद गहरा गया है. शीर्ष अदालत ने शु्क्रवार को अपनी टिप्पणी में कहा कि सरकारी नौकरियों में प्रमोशन में आरक्षण मौलिक अधिकार नहीं है और इसे लागू करना या न करना राज्य सरकारों के विवेक पर निर्भर करता है.
