For a day or so now I have been unable to reach the website and wiki, assuming its down or something. Someone might want to look into that...

Yes now it is, it became available again within an hour or so of the post, but was down for some time. I first noticed last night but waited till today to say anything. Not surprised it became available shortly after my post...

It's a volunteer effort for a low traffic site.  5 nines aren't really required here.  Thank you for letting the group know.

Eh. The world is infested with crap computer systems built fast and cheap with no attention to reliability or even security.

We should set a better example. We're advocates for an OS whose reliability and security is just as important as its free availability. Many of us are working in the IT industry.

I have a Nagios server that runs 24/7/365 and if it can page me when a production server in Seattle goes pong it can darned well do as much for the LUG. Just give me a set of important URLs, plus email or SMS addresses for whoever should get notified. And what what hours it should be rude about it.

Hey everyone, I've reached out to Tim, and we've got some alerting setup. Thanks for letting us know, William. I rebooted the server shortly after your email.

Too bad something like that isn't available for people with Depression, think of all the Lives it could save.  Like Robin Williams. Maybe the Apple Watch could do it?  Funny, they didn't call it the Eye Watch, I mean iWatch...LOL
