Hi,

Just want to know how can i connect to a jabber server through JAXL ,
with a browser?
at the moment i receive this error when i try to connect to openfire
(on localhost) with JAXL :

Starting TLS Encryption... Attempting DIGEST-MD5 Authentication...
Starting Session... Requesting Feature List... Requesting Roster
List... Setting Status... Done
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in C:
\Apache2.2\htdocs\jaxl\xmpp.class.php on line 162

BUT it works well, when i connect to it on the command line!
is this a bug or it means that JAXL doesn't work with browsers??

Thanks,

imoracle

Hi,

What you are looking for is the BOSH protocol implementation which is
an extended version of XMPP to make it work on browsers.
XMPP alone can't work through browsers (http) as its a TCP level
protocol.

JAXL has BOSH implementation which is still in development and testing
environment.
