GCM CCS with JAXL

Hi,

I am developing an android app which uses google gcm ccs.(https://developer.android.com/google/gcm/ccs.html) I feel comfortable with php and choose to write ccs app server in jaxl. I am wondering if anybody has done it already. I had problems with connecting but the http://stackoverflow.com/questions/17190038/unable-to-connect-to-google-cloud-connection-server came to resque. Am i going in right direction ?
