I am probably going to be too busy to be much help, but feel free to pull any of my (rather trivial) features from:

Incidentally would js that parsed e.g. "\newcommand...\foo{\bar}\foo" into "...\bar" help?

BTW, I tried sending a donation, but Paypal said:

Custom commands are supported in latest JaxEdit source code: http://jaxedit.com/beta/ . And the problem with PayPal account was fixed.

Cool.  I see you're parsing macro definitions and expanding them yourself.

I'm curious: Why not just rely on MathJax's macro support?

Was it only to support macros outside math or were there deeper problems?
