I am interested in this event as well.
Is there any way to handle it without hacking. For example when it occurs it could redirect the user.

Usually this means you restarted your server (Tomcat/Apache etc.) It happens a lot during development, but should not happen frequently on production, unless you are doing a lot of production deployments.
In the JavaScript file, there is a method right at the top that is intended so that you can change its behavior to what suits you best.
