The Background
This global defence organisation are looking for a Software Delivery Engineer to join their team to work on a number of on-going long term projects, the team work on the assimilation of software components and delivery of the subsequent systems.
The Role
As a Software Delivery Engineer you’ll be expected to work on the integration of various content management systems in order to deliver a reliable and functional product. You’ll be working with in-house software, 3rd party and commercial software; the components are built to work in a commercial off the shelf (COTS) based architecture and any experience of working within a COTS environment will hold you in good stead.

You’ll have experience working in a similar software delivery position with knowledge of all phases of the software lifecycle, with a particular focus on integration and acceptance. You’ll have significant experience working within a Windows environment working on configuring, installing or integrating Windows applications.
In addition to the above experience within any of the below would be advantageous:
· Experience of automated program deployment using Symantec Ghose, Microsoft System Installer or Microsoft SysPrep.
· Experience of scripting tools using VB Script, Powershell, WMI or Auto IT etc.
· Knowledge of any of the following languages: Ada, C++, C#, Visual Studio, Solaris, UNIX, TCP/IP or VMWare Products.
