Hi

I have weblogic deployed on a linux machine and , I can not see the
Admin console or the deployed application from another computer on the
network(I can access console and app from same linux machine). If the
aplication is on tomcat , I can access it.

someone mentioned that adding the other machine name in hosts helps. I
tried it and it is not working.
any help is appreciated.

thanks

Hi,

When you check weblogic console , do you see your server instance as localhost or
network IP.If you installed as localhost ,probably it doesn't accept  requests with network IP.

If issue is urgent , I can suggest another  way to access to weblogic web application.
You can install  apache with weblogic plugin.By that way you can access weblogic through apache.

Thanks for reply,

In the server-->Configuration-->General, there are two settings Listen
Address and External listen address, both are empty, if I put the ip
address of localhost
in "Listen Address" then I can access the console from another
machine, but then stoping and starting of weblogic admin server doesnt
work.

is this the correct place to set the ip?

thanks

I think right place.May be you need to set also External listen address.
Listen Port Enabled
Specifies whether this server can be reached through the default plain-text (non-SSL) listen port.
  Listen Port:
The default TCP port (between 1 and 65534) that this server uses to listen for regular (non-SSL) incoming connections.
And you sure set listen port like above.

You can reach to web application with no problem any more.Is that right ?

No , he mean that , you are starting the server with localhost or IP Address ( look at the config.xml ). If its localhost , change it to  your IP.
