Location: 100% Remote – EST Time Zone
Duration: 12 Months
Key Notes:
· Will establish models for different business groups
· Must be well versed with modeling patterns – mostly in analytics sphere, not as much transaction but have to know transaction to get to the analytics space
· Will be collaborating with other analysts and teams to get requirements and come up with models that are scalable and open to change in the future
Technology:
Data modeling - Must be well versed with modeling patterns – mostly in analytics sphere, not as much transaction but have to know transaction to get to the analytics space
Relational and dimension modeling – know leading tools, Erwin, Idera Data Architect (they use the latter but understand Erwin is more common, either is fine)
Data modeling in Azure would be very helpful as they are moving into that space , currently on prem SQL DWH
Goal is to prep and push to Fabric, they are doing a POC. Then have reports generated on top and served to other business groups.
Fabric would be great but not required, as it’s really just bringing everything together that’s been around for years – Azure SQL, PowerBI, etc.
They will be the senior data modeler and need to be comfortable being self-sufficient. They will coordinate with various business groups/business owners, data analysts, project management, data architects and operational support, among others, on a daily basis.
