Hi,

Unfortunately there is no way to set it as of now.
As the emulator does not have a "settings" screen yet, the only way is to create a property in the "Emulator.properties" file, but it resides inside the JAR file. This I can do.

Any other suggestions? Maybe use the "current" folder as default?

And what Line should I add in "Emulator.properties" ( I'm to lame ,obviously)?

You can't do that yet. The property still does not exist. I have to implement it first.
Then I'll let you know how to set it up.
Or maybe I come with a better approach...  ;-)

The emulator now (version 1.05) remembers the last folder used to load ROMs.
It really makes it a lot easier.

Get the latest version at http://javatari.org
