Hey guys,

It looks like we are doing a demo for the incoming students! Could we get together before this to work on the project some? The event is on the 18th, so next Saturday, from 12:30 to 2.

Thanks,
Hamy

Dear Burgess Mitchell,

I have several students that will be giving demos of their final projects for the open house. One group has an XBox game to demo and the other group has a networked strategy game. Could we get one table for the two groups.

Ken, does your group need a TV for the demo? I believe that the other group can show the demo on a laptop.

Thanks,

Jules White

Hmm - yeah. I think we should try to get the single player stuff working so we can demo the whole game - I think we're almost there, we just need to get farms done. Kyle - I dunno what your status is on that? I've setup the mapLayer so it can highlight rectangles in a tile so we can make "drop zones" for farms... but maybe we can get together and work on it?

I guess on the multiplayer front, we need to get the multiplayer lobby working. I think Hamy has the networking stuff pretty much done, but there's no operation flow for actually hosting / joining and starting a game. Once we get that done, I think it's just a matter of sending everything in the GameStateSingleton to other players and keeping it in sync. (read: it's all in one place yay!!!!)

Yea, if anyone has some time to make the UI for the join game complete, that would be cool. After wednesday, I will build a model to plug into the Host Game table, but we still need some basic UI stuff, like a kick player button, and a password box.

Im really not cool with this being during Rites, lol. Sure, sounds good Ben. Farms are coming along. I can determine whether or not a farm is claimed, but not how many forts it feeds... Plus there's some definite coupling there that I'm not happy about - Maybe we can put in the data somewhere which features are fed by farms?

Haha yeah the rites thing kinda sucks. Do we actually have to be there? Maybe we could create a video and then just play it on repeat demoing the app. lol. We should definitely put that farm-feature property in somewhere. I think that would make sense - just in case somebody wanted cloisters to be impacted by farms or something. I'll get on that!
