Hi Java Simon users

Lately we released last update to our 3.x branch of Java Simon - version 3.5.0. (Patch versions are still possible if necessary.)

You can check the News and Release notes on our main project page: https://code.google.com/p/javasimon/

As always, Javadoc is up and Maven repo ready for your downloads. ZIP distribution is not available anymore as Google Code discontinued upload option.

Next major version will be Java Simon 4.0 - and the biggest change will be move to Java SE 7 as a minimum required Java version. 4.0 will also not support reset operations anymore - their main usage is fully covered by new "incremental sampling" feature. There is still Manager.clear if you really want to wreak havoc to your Simons (for instance after warm-up? but as said, incremental sampling is the way to go).

Besides these two big things we don't expect any other revolutions in 4.0, but we want to review various reporting (and possibly logging) options. During last years development went a bit faster than Javadocs and it's time to try to fix it. :-) But right now there are no hard promises on 4.0 arrival.

Enjoy Java Simon 3.5 and let us know what you think. If you have issues or feature requests, use our Issue list: https://code.google.com/p/javasimon/issues/list

Cheers

Virgo
