Hi JavaScripters,

Unless there are strong objections, I think we're going to go ahead and move the mailing list over to the Meetup site.

Pros:
Better membership management tools
Automatic e-mail updates for schedule changes
wiki-like pages to throw up arbitrary content
mailing list at jsmn...@meetup.com, which you can't spam unless you log in to Meetup and join the group

Cons:
Making you all sign up for something else - sorry, I promise this won't be a monthly occurrence :(

The site's not perfect, but it will definitely save me more than 12 bucks a month worth of time.  I'll probably take steps to make this mailing list read only sometime after next month's meeting (which will be awesome).

I'd also like to welcome the assistance of James Greene (http://www.meetup.com/JavaScriptMN/members/27811572/) for the user group - he's volunteered to help organize, which is great.  I very much appreciate his desire to help us out going forward.

Thanks, and let me know if you have any comments.

Good move! I find a lot of use of out finding groups on meetup.com
