Is "static variable" the same thing as the "const" we knew from
c-blus-blus?

Hello Youssef,

Sorry for the late reply but I wasn't sure of the answer of this question up till last week.

You probably know that I am attending the Microsoft courses that are offered at the university. It turned out to be a part of a project sponsored by Microsoft called ".net university". The purpose of this course is to familiarize developers with programing with Microsoft .net framework.

For the first two days ("according to the instructor supposedly boring") the instructor talked about Object Oriented Programming using C#. Frankly, I didn't understand about 50 % of what he said but it was good to know that there are a lot more to learn:) I really regret spending time in Gonied's class. He seriously need to reconsider the content of 210.

Anyway from what I understood, the static variables are similar to constant variables in that are predefined in a class during compile time, exist with the definition of the class in the memory but they are unlike the constants of C++, can be changed in runtime using static methods (functions).

Regards,
Abdelrahman

PS. I have uploaded projects to the group if anybody is eager to have a look C# syntax. By the way, C# is easier than Java.
