Hi guys,

In a recent episode (I think it was 89), I was chuckling through the
discussion of the term "pants" as an adjective the Brits use to say
something is pretty terrible. Little did I know that, just this
afternoon, I would be scrolling through the headlines on The Inquirer
(hey, it's late on Friday afternoon, needed something a bit less
serious to concentrate on ;-), and ran into the following quote from an
article[1] about IE7:

INQ readers seem to have been having fun
working out ways to reveal IE7 is complete
and utter pants.

Guess they really *do* say things like that across the pond :-).

As a Brit I can confirm this. We use the term 'pants' here all the
time to imply that something is rubbish.

Pants here are of course not trousers but underpants - which is
probably why it makes more sense in the UK.
