Guys I think we have a virus in the forums. Every discussion seems to
be getting morphed into a Scala debate...

Still, that'll please Dick.

That's ok, at least the virus is immutable!

This thread is a little dysfunctional.

"Scala"

Oh, look, its functional again!

what about the functionalities like rmi, jni, which java has..does
scala have such features too..

how do you find n/w based functions in scala (as in java)

Since Scala can call Java you can use RMI and JNI from Scala.

interesting..
What I meant was that is scala having such in-built functionalities
?Seems like a No to me..

Anyways, Scala -Java integration can consume time with performance
issues at the top list..I hope this is not so in all cases..
Scala seems to be fine with java..

jd

Gah!  Stop being so serious, at once...
Save it for another discussion :)

This thread should ideally be self-referential, metaphor is also fine
i.e. recursive, with the ability to map values to other values

Oh Jitesh you should have played that straight then we'd all have been
impressed at the dead pan irony of turning a joke thread about Scala
into... a thread about Scala.

Guess the virus is recursive after all...

It get's worse. Put under a microscope, you'll notice the tail-
recursion so it'll never run out of space! Yikes.

Well, I thought you guys will figure that out soon.:)..

I thought I would try putting things a little differently this time.
No harm in practising some lateral thinking.

Yup, the virus is definitely recursive.

Could we map this to a math formula and see where this proceeds too?

Maybe this is too much of lateral thinking going on from side..:)..

jd
