Hi everyone

In the last podcast Dick said that the OpenJDK has a poor performance
when runnin graphical interfaces (this coincides with my personal
experience) and Carl said that even for server applications the
OpenJDK has less performed and is less stable than Oracle's JDK. I
was wondering what your experiences on this regard are and if anyone
knows about any benchmarks comparing the two JDKs.

Cheers,

Abraham

I haven't listened to the podcast yet (apologies for not doing the
equivalent of RTFM), but are they referring to the latest OpenJDK and
Oracle Binaries, i.e. OpenJDK 1.7 / Oracle Java 7

Cheers,
Martijn
