I just wanted to encourage the JavaPosse to begin doing interviews
again. Perhaps the following people might be available:

Bill Pugh (to talk about FindBugs 2.0 and what he's up to)
Josh Bloch (to talk about the Dart language)
Amy Fowler (I think the posse mentioned that possibility about her
talking about JavaFX)
Someone from Google to talk about Android and ICS (no legal stuff
obviously)
Bruce Eckel

Anyone else have any suggestions? Maybe some of these could be help
at the JPR '12?

P.S. Thank you for the podcast... I've listened to about 99% of them.

Someone from Oracle to talk about Java 7, 8, 9 would be nice. You guys have a wide range of topics so really anyone from Android, Scala, Groovy, and so on would give us a more in-depth view of a technology.

Would love to hear from the spec leads on some of the EE7 work being done, how they envision EE7 to make Java "cloud ready", and perhaps the broader implications/use cases of these specifications (outside the EE framework).

https://blogs.oracle.com/arungupta/entry/java_ee_7_key_features

Even hearing from Oracle EE evanglagests (Arun Gupta) and prominte EE engineers (ie Sanjeeb Kumar Sahoo) would be very interesting, even if they were asked to talk about whatever they want.

Hearing from some OSGi folks (where they are going, OSGi relevance in the post-modular-java (however that eventually manifests) world, etc) would be interesting, too.  Richard Hall comes to mind.

And also hearing on what the Spring guys are planning with both the
cloud and their integration plans with EE7

+1 about the modularity. I'd *really* would like to know about Jigsaw's state.

I agree that it would be good to have some interviews in there again.
Interestingly, all the names suggested above, date back from the early
days of Java (except for Amy Fowler, who is a character from The Big
Bang Theory (TV show)). Who's doing new stuff in Java, these days?
Who's making the big decisions that will affect the future of the
language and environment?

Vince.

So true ... Also I would love to hear about all of the new and upcoming languages: Koitlin, Ceylon, Dart, Seph, etc.
