JavaMUG 2024 Election Nominations Open

JavaMUG Annual Board Members Elections are to be held at the December 13th, 2023 general meeting for the 2024 board. Anyone that would like to run for a board position is welcome to sign up. Please email elec...@javamug.org with the following:

• The position that you would like to run for 
  
• A short bio why you would be good for the position

Submissions must be received by the elections committee by midnight (CST) December 10th, 2023. The positions on the JavaMUG Board are President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. The duties of the office are detailed on the website under the bylaws, but below is a brief summary of each:

• President -  Schedules the speakers and runs the meetings
  
• Vice President -  Backs up the President when he/she is not available and handles some organization maintenance and meeting gift drawings 
  
• Secretary - Sends out announcements, updates the website, monitors the e-mail list and LinkedIn group
  
• Treasurer - Schedules the sponsors, handles the finances, and orders the pizza
