Kubernetes is fast becoming the standard underlying platform for modern micro-service based systems. It provides the means for application and container orchestration. As an orchestator, it is mature in the generic domain of stateless services. In addition to enabling rapid scaling changes, it provides self-heal ability reducing the burden on the devops team. As organizations move from the generic domain to workloads that require very specific orchestration needs, there is a need to provide operators in the cluster that manage those concerns for the purpose of reducing devops workload. Deploying these techniques, provides customized automated self-healthing and scaling enabling up-time and reducing overall costs.
