JavaMUG Board Elections to be held 17 Dec 2020 for 2021

JavaMUG Annual Board Members Elections are to be held at the December 17th, 2020 general meeting for the 2021 board. The board is still putting together how we're going to meet virtually, so details on that meeting are forthcoming.
If you would like to run for a board position please email with:
       * the position that you would like to run for
       * a short bio
       * why you would be good for the position.

Submissions must be received by the elections committee by midnight Central Standard Time (Dallas) December 15th 2020.

The positions on the JavaMUG Board are President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.  The duties of the office are detailed out on the web site under the bylaws but in general the President schedules the speakers and runs the meetings. The Vice President backs up the President when he/she is not available and handles some organization maintenance and meeting gift drawings.  The Secretary sends out announcements and monitors the e-mail list and LinkedIn group.  The Treasurer schedules the sponsors, handles the finances, and orders the
pizza. If you do not wish to run for an elected office but still would like to volunteer to help the group please email or email the President at  We are always looking for help.
