System:
javamelody-core.1.47.0.jar
java 1.8 SE
tomcat 7.0.50

Hi all,

After upgrading to java 8, javamelody page isn't returning 404...
It works with my Java 6EE and Java7(dun remember if EE/SE), but I have no luck with Java 8.
Did anyone else run into problem with Java 8? or is there a problem with my system setup?

any inputs are appreciated.

Hi,

I do not reproduce the issue, using java 8, tomcat 7, javamelody-core 1.50.0 on windows.
It just works in java 8 and the only issue so far is that the cpu graph is not displayed.

Please look at stack-traces in your server logs.
And send debugging logs, https://code.google.com/p/javamelody/wiki/UserGuideAdvanced#Debugging_logs

bye,
Emeric

I'm getting the same issue on java 6. I don't think java version has anything to do with the 404 error

On my jenkins server, the monitoring plugin use to work. However, now when ever I try to navigate to the monitoring page I receive a 404

HTTP ERROR 404

Hi again,

First, it's java 8.
Then, it's java 6.
Then, it's jenkins using the plugin (the one used in 5000 known jenkins servers according to jenkins-ci.org).
You can be more serious than that.

Find the root cause of your issue.

PS: check your arms, clean-up your glasses just in case, and take a glass of French wine first.

After having cleaned-up my own glasses, it seems that it was 2 different environments, sorry cole9350.
Anyway the answer is now for both.

Emeric,

I appreciate you helping me troubleshoot this issue. I am suppose to research your product to see if we should use it in our continuous integration environments.
I will just report that the developer is a complete tool and who is afraid to admit he developed a less than perfect product.

Thank you for all your support

Hi Shawn,

You can report that, it's not a problem for me.

But, I want to add that it's an opensource project and also that I am not paid for it.
In fact, I often don't answer to people who don't give enough information for me to help or for them to help me, even if my guesses are not always bad. I should not have answered to you.
But once in a while, I may remind people that I don't have a crystal ball.

bye,
Emeric
