Hello,

We are going to use Javamelody for our SpringMVC server. This Spring backend is used as a REST backend for an Angular frontend application and i wonder if it would be possible to collect statistics coming from the frontend. The current RUM implementation doesn't work as the frontend is deployed as a separate application on different location. Also i'm not sure what kind of statistics can be collected as the Angular is a single page application, where different application pages are constructed in-browser by the javascript.

Hello,

Indeed, current RUM can measure events in html pages, but it is usless in single page applications.
So, maybe you can call in SPA the RUM url with the same parameters, by relating page view to some Ajax request.

Note that RUM in javamelody includes a version of the Boomerang javascript:
and that Boomerang has a plugin for SPA / Angular 2+:

Let us know if you do something for this.

bye,
Emeric
