Hi everyone,

I'm currently trying to use OTAP on a device using the EHS5-E chip. Maybe someone of you has more experince with it and can tell me what I'm doing wrong because I cannot solve my problem.

This is the complete command set I execute. I tried it on several devices:

AT^SJOTAP=,"http://131.103.20.168/TyrManuZ/sjotap/downloads/HelloWorld.jad",,,,"gprs","***","***","***",,,"off","off"
OK
AT^SJOTAP
OK

This is the log output:

AT^SCFG="Trace/Syslog/Otap","1"
OTAP.OUT STARTED

[OTAP] Stopping all midlets
[OTAP] Midlets Stopped
[OTAP] PS Detach
[OTAP] Starting Installation
[OTAP] operation failed
[OTAP] Reboot now.

There are a few seconds between the both lines those I suppose the device is doing something

[OTAP] Starting Installation
[OTAP] operation failed

The APN settings are correct and work within my MIDlet. Acctually if I do not set it in OTAP the log output is the same so I seems to fail before even connecting to the network.

Has anyone an idea what's the problem here? Am I missing something?

Best regards,
Tobias

Hi, try to set gprs params by at^sjnet command. When you use at^sjnet and at^sjotap, it will be ok. I used this two weeks ago.

Thanks that helped a lot.
I actually didn't even need to set it with at^sjnet.
I just removed username and password for apn from the at^sjotap. They were optional to connect to the network.
