How to make a web site using java

Hi,

i am a newbie with Web applications. I want to make a web site using
Java,JSP,Java script,XML etc in order to learn java technologies..But i
dont really know where to start..Can anyone suggest me books, websites
or any document which will help/guide me to learn the steps of building
a website using Java?
