I'm using a fresh eclipse version downloaded from eclipse.org and not the ones that come with the linux distro.
Just make sure that the two folders and two files prefixed with sf.net.j2s.* are inside "plugins" folder.
If you can, please provide us with more information, for example, the exact version of eclipse, eclipse error logs, and more details about what isn't working.
Some notes:
* I used eclipse j2ee but any eclipse version should work.
* there is not a "features" folder.
* there is no need for a -clean argument when restarting eclipse 3.5
