Integrating my code

I've made a very extensive patch (I posted a tracker for integrating
it at http://code.google.com/p/java2objc/issues/detail?id=1). It
fixes all crashes that I encountered, adds support for working on
folders instead of being limited to a file-at-a-time, and supports
many more language features. I used it to convert a moderate-sized
project to Objective C.

I'd like to get my changes reviewed and into the main code base. Is
there any action I can take to help this happen?

I would be happy to involve you as a contributor. For start, can you
create a new issue and attach the patch as a zip file?

I had already created a new issue and attached the patch as a .txt
file (see the link in my first post, or you can find it in the
java2objc issue list). I added a .zip containing the full source code
to the original issue.

Hi Dave,

The code looks great! I have added you as a project committer. Can you
check it in directly?

Thanks

I committed my changes, including a few new changes to allow simple
method renaming, configured via a mappings.properties file. I
included a default mappings.properties which replaces the built-in
types like NSBool, NSObject, etc. Users can also specify their own
mappings.properties, which are merged with the defaults and can
override them.

I'm interested in possibly posting a build for download, based on the
excellent build provided by sandeep.maloth in the UsageGuide. It
includes a .bat file and a .sh file for running java2objc. Would it
be okay with you if I created and posted a build to the Downloads
section?

Hi Dave,

Thanks for submitting your changes. Releasing a build for download
sounds great. Lets call it version 0.5 and create a download bundle.
Let us also setup a release notes on the wiki for major features of
this release. It is probably also useful to create a roadmap page
listing down some of the major changes we plan to make in the future
versions. Let me know if you agree and I will setup a template on the
wiki.

Thanks
Inderjeet

I have a download bundle ready so I'll upload it to the Downloads page
and call it 0.5. I think release notes and roadmap pages are a great
idea; I can help contribute to them. I look forward to your template,

I created a sites page for the project: https://sites.google.com/site/java2objc/
and added you as a committer.
I also added pages for roadmap and user guide. Feel free to update
them as you see fit. For roadmap, you can add the features we added in
version 0.5. For version 0.6, lets figure out the features we should
work on. I will start a new thread on the forum for this purpose.

Thanks for your contributions!
