All The code I put on github is in version 1.0.0-SNAPHOT. With a second thought I thing I should put all to 0.5.0-SNAPSHOT and aimed a 0.5.0-Final release (after various 0.5.0-Beta and/or CR)

This code is quite stable (coming from Seam Social) and can be used today. However, it's far from our goal in terms of JSR compliancy, so it can't be released as 1.0.0 but could be released as pre 1.0.0 release.

Releasing would allow us to communicate on the project and gather community.

What do you think ?

+1

Better to be 1.0 when the code will be more "Agorava" and less "Seam Social" :)

Milestone releases prior to 1.0 may still make sense.

As following the Seam Social Numbering, and replacing Seam itself it'll have to be at least 4.0.0-SNAPSHOT ;-D

Ok I switched to 0.5.0-SNAPSHOT (sorry for the speed but I need to set up build in cloudbees).

Wener I didn't followed Seam social versioning since it was not relevant : Seam version was imposed by bundle release.

Never said you should, it was related to Paul's comment.

Would love to demonstrate something even if just small at JustJava next week...

We'll probably have a "kind of demo" next week. We discussed about that sooner today with Paul on IRC channel. I let Paul make the surprise and take the pressure ;-).

Cool, so while Facebook IPO just tours the US with mixed feedback from investors,
Agorava may have a "World Tour" next week, if Paul does something beside my session in Brazil.
I read, Facebook co-founder Severin denounced his US citizenship for tax purposes. Guess he is only Brazilian now, or took Singapore where he lives. Well we won't find him at JustJava and he's never been a "techie" anyway, so he won't be missed there either:-D

Just to let you know that Socializer, the demo, is fully functionnal. It allows you to connect to both Twitter and Facebook and retrieve the timeline. I will push it on GitHub during the week-end but I will try to improve one or two things before. And if I have time, I will put it on OpenShift maybe.

Regards,

Paul.

OK, I'll fork the project on GitHub tomorrow and have a look. If it's on OpenShift, great, I also did some experiments and may follow up towards Dutch Mobile Conference next month,...

Beside that, if it worked on my local box for JustJava, that would be equally fine.

Regards,
Werner

Great news Paul. I hope you'll push your work very soon.
Socializer is an important POC for Agorava. Hope we'll have other use case in the coming month to test and demonstrate our work.

thx Paul

Pull request send.

One last problem that I didn't have time to correct is having an url hard coded in "HubProducer.java", it is "http://localhost:8080/agorava-socializer/callback.jsf". So be sure your server run on this address or change it before building the app. I will try to change it in order to be able to put it in OpenShift.

Also, remember that we have a limited number of request to social APIs (like Twitter API), and each timeline is auto-uptaded each 2min. So be sure not to stay to long on a timeline :-)

Finally, there is a LinkedIn button, but the LinkedIn part is not implemented yet.

Regards,

Paul.

I'd love to showcase some of it in Brazil.

Just like in France, Brazil seems a very open country for a project called "Socializer";-D

Thanks,
Werner
