Ideal candidates can also got the confirmation.   Job Summary:   This position requires a candidate who is a self-starter, willing to learn and driven by results. Develop customized software and provides leadership to the software team. Strong technical and troubleshooting skills will be highly important in performing daily tasks as well as communication with customers.  Job Responsibilities:  Essential Functions:    • Push software development methodologies throughout our organization that are accepted industry standards such as Agile, implementing continuous integration, test driven design. • Work with a large cross functional team within our group and outside, including project managers, system engineers and deployment managers. • Effectively mentors peers and co-workers to constructively use feedback Technical Skillset • Back-end Java Experience preferably in the developing, testing, and deploying Enterprise applications.  • “full-stack” developer, with emphasis on System deployment and JVM and OS level debugging; the job is highly geared toward understanding and debugging already deployed JVM applications. • Skilled in lower level Networking and Database debugging, and understand deployment practices for both Virtualized and Containerized JVM deployments. • Familiar with normal continuous integration principals, and bug tracking processes. • Performance monitoring and metrics for JVM applications, including monitoring through agent, health check servlets, and JMS a plus. • Front-End UI experience with various software stacks is highly preferred, but back-end experience is necessary and required. Additional Responsibilities: • Performs multiple tasks and works independently on new or complex assignments • Contributes to the team and demonstrates team leadership • Aware of the importance of adhering to and continuously improving processes Education: Bachelors/Master’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Min 7 years of software experience. Cable Television experience is a plus.   Candidate must have experience Languages: Java 1.7 and 1.8, Jython 2.6 and 2.7 Scripting: Bash Java Frameworks and Libraries: Spring Framework 4.x, Hibernate 3 & 4, Various JDBC Libraries and Drivers as well as RabbitMQ ActiveMQ CI Infrastructure: Maven Repositories, Jenkins, Bamboo Protocols: CWMP,AMQP, JMS, HTTP & HTTP/2, SSL/TLS, THIRFT, Database: Oracle, Postgres, Cassandra Containers: Tomcat, Glassfish OS: Linux (must have at least 5 years’ experience in a production deployment environment, not development setups) Experience in monitoring and debugging OS layer processes. Following technologies considered a plus:: Java Frameworks and Libraries: Spring Play Framework, Dropwizard, Vaadin, Elasticsearch Frontend: GWT, Jquery, Angular, HTML5/CSS
