ERROR: Unable to open class file /R.java: No such file or directory

This error was solved by compiling the app using the AIDE app. It was then possible to compile using JavaIDEdroid. Not sure what kept it from compiling. Did some research on the question and I found discussion here.

Decided to try AIDE and the problem was solved.
